Linda Montanile-Smith provides full scope of architectural design and consulting services with expertise in sustainable design and design/build construction.  She has been practicing architecture for over 20 years and has been licensed since 2013.  She likes to get her hands dirty and has been both the sole designer for Phitown Investment projects and their on-site Construction Manager.  She has several clients in which she designs custom homes or full house renovations.  Linda has experience with full spectrum green design including sustainable site design, solar thermal water heating, photovoltaic energy generation, water reclamation and, daylighting, indoor environmental quality, and planted green roofs.  Her project experience include a wide range of building types, from single family custom homes to multi-family condominiums, Shore-point (flood prone) design/construction, religious facilities, university buildings, retail and restaurants. 

She has worked for the well-known firm Onionflats, in Philadelphia, PA, an architecture/development firm specializing in “green” design and construction.  While there, she was the lead designer on an award winning 4700 sf LEED Platinum custom home in Oakland, California “Margarido House” which was featured on the Discovery Channel’s Planet Green Network and published in several periodicals.

Linda provides full architectural construction documents and generates both sketch/3D renderings for client visualization and marketing. She also has had substantial construction experience working in design/build firms in both Scottsdale, AZ and Philadelphia, PA.
