Linda Montanile-Smith provides a  full scope of architectural design and consulting services with expertise in sustainable design and design/build construction.  She has been practicing sustainable design for over 15 years, including 3 years at Onionflats/Plumbob, in Philadelphia, PA, a well known architecture firm specializing in “green” design and construction. Linda has experience with full spectrum green design including sustainable site design, water- energy- and resource-efficiency, non-toxic materials, daylighting,  indoor environmental quality, and vegetated grass roofing.  Her projects include a wide range of building types, from single family custom homes to multi-family condominiums, religious facilities, university buildings, retail and restaurants.  She was recently the lead architect, while with Plumbob, on an award winning 4700sf LEED Platinum custom home in Oakland, California “Margarido House” which was featured on the Discovery Channel’s Planet Green Network. She also has had substantial construction experience working in design/build firms in both Scottsdale, AZ and Philadelphia, PA.  She has also designed and renovated multiple personal investment properties in Philadelphia.
